Spa Touch's photo epilation technology uses light and heat energy(LHE) to selectively target the hair follicle. Using LHE photo epilation technology unique to Spa Touch heat is absorbed through the shaft where it damages the hair germ cells, thereby preventing hair growth without harming the surrounding skin.

At the consultation, we will be able to advise you on the expected number of Spa Touch photo epilation treatments required as every individual is different and certain areas will take longer to treat than others, but on average you will need 6 to 10 treatments. Spa Touch photo epilation is suitable for both men and women, all hair colours and skin types.

Questions Asked

Is the treatment painful?  No you will just feel a shot of heat for a split second.

How many Treatments will I need?  Generally you will need 6 to 10 treatments, this is because we can only treat the hair in the late anagen stage. Hair grows at different stages hence the reason for more than one treatment Once the follicle is destroyed it can not grow back.

Pre Treatment Requirements

The area should not be recently sun tanned. Use of sun beds, exposure of strong sunlight & self tanning products is not advised for 2 weeks prior to treatment.

A medical history is taken at consultation, we need to know any medication being taken, including those bought from a chemist or herbal remedies.

Waxing and plucking should be avoided for one moth prior to treatment, bleaching should also be avoided.

Shaving & trimming is permitted providing the hair is left 3 days before treatment. We need to see some hair growth.

No treatment will commence with out a consultation & patch test.

After Treatment

Do not expose to sun or sun beds. Do not have hot bath or sauna for 24 hours. If any sensitivity cool with cold water.

Exfoliate several times a week this will help hairs to fall out.
